Let’s Talk Turkey!

The chase is on! Let’s catch 100 Turkeys for Thanksgiving and give them to those in need at the Good Neighbors Food Pantry of Boyne City! Stop by Pat O’Brien Real Estate during the Harvest Festival on Saturday, September 30 (or any time between now and then) and give a donation of $15 for the purchase of a Thanksgiving turkey. There are 100 turkeys on the wall just waiting to be bagged and that’s no Gobbledygook! Let’s move these beautiful beasts from the wild to a neighbor’s dinner table. With your help, the Good Neighbors Food Pantry will have enough turkeys to supply all those who shop at the pantry with a Thanksgiving turkey. Neighbors helping Neighbors, that’s Boyne City.

Thank you to Balanced Living, Leslie, Theresa, our own Mary B., and all who donated! The many women who received them at the pantry were so appreciative! If anyone missed out, or wants to continue to give these much-needed products, we will be happy to accept them on an ongoing basis!

We’ve done a lot of growing, and we’ve worked hard to serve good food to those in need. We have a wonderful, dedicated team of volunteers who truly enjoy working together. They create a warm and respectful atmosphere at the pantry, and they also enjoy sharing conversation with those we serve. We’ve been blessed with generous donations from community members, and we are very grateful for all the support. Looking back, 2016 has been a very good year for the Good Neighbors Food Pantry, and we couldn’t have done it without our caring […]
