Thanks to Great Lakes Energy

Thanks to Great Lakes Energy for donating three boxes of pre-packaged meals! Volunteers stand near the soon-to-be-completed covered entryway that was funded by a grant from the Great Lakes Energy People Fund. The dehydrated, vitamin-fortified meals were assembled by GLE staff members during a “Commitment to Community Service Project” earlier this spring in conjunction with Kids Against Hunger.

It’s the first Thursday of the month, so today is Help Everyone Eat day at Magnum Hospitality! Enjoy a great meal at Cafe Sante or Red Mesa any time during the day and it will benefit the Boyne City pantries! Thank you Magnum! We now have use of a trailer when we go get food for the pantry from Manna! Thanks to: Korthase Flinn (Randy Flinn) who donates the use of their trailer every Monday; Riverside Tire (Doug McClelland) who donated labor for restoring trailer lights and wheel bearings; and Tom Schraw who got the wheels turning to make it all happen!

Donations collected from the Children’s Yoga Class

Gabrielle and Priscylla visited the pantry last week to drop off the donations collected from the Children’s Yoga Class at Balanced Living. Thanks, girls!! Leslie Neilson teaches the class on Sundays at 1:00 for children age 3 to 12, and it’s a donation based class. Monetary and food donations are collected to benefit Good Neighbors Food Pantry. What a great idea, Leslie!
