Donate food
To donate food items, bring to the pantry on Mondays from 1:30-2:30 p.m. or Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Items should not be past their “best by” dates, and we don’t accept candy or soda and other sweetened drinks. St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Boyne City is also a drop-off site for non-perishable items only. The church is open from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please use the doors under the canopy and the door opposite. The drop-off box is at the back of the church in the vestibule by the water fountain. The church is located at 1303 Boyne Avenue.
- Shelf stable whole milk, and non-dairy “milk” (almond, coconut, etc.)
- Chicken noodle soup, cream of mushroom soup, and “chunky” soups
- Low sugar Breakfast cereals
- Peanut butter
- Egg noodles
- Split peas
- Citrus fruit
- Cooking oil
- Jams
- Canned beans: black, kidney, or white (cannellini, navy, etc.)
- Snacks for children: soup cups, string cheese, granola bars, etc.
Although it’s not a food item, we would like to give everyone a new can opener, so that’s another possibility for a donated item.
