Donate food

To donate food items, bring to the pantry on Mondays from 1:-2:30 p.m. or Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Items should not be past their “best by” dates, and we don’t accept candy or soda and other sweetened drinks.  Suggested items are listed below. St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Boyne City is also a drop-off site for non-perishable items only. The church is open from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please use the doors under the canopy and the door opposite. The drop-off box is at the back of the church in the vestibule by the water fountain. The church is located at 1303 Boyne Avenue.

Suggested items to donate:

  • Low-sugar cereal
  • Canned tuna fish
  • Canned tomato sauce
  • Canned peaches
  • Spaghetti sauce in 24 oz cans
  • Shelf stable whole milk, and non-dairy “milk” (almond, coconut, etc.)
  • Chicken noodle soup, tomato soup, and “chunky” soups
  • Jams
  • Split peas
  • Refried beans
  • Snacks for children: soup cups, fruit cups, etc.
  • If dropping off directly at the pantry, fresh items can be accepted, with citrus fruit topping the list.
