Donate food

To donate food items, bring to the pantry on Mondays from 1:30-2:30 p.m. or Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Items should not be past their “best by” dates, and we don’t accept candy or soda and other sweetened drinks.  Suggested items are listed below. St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Boyne City is also a drop-off site for non-perishable items only. The church is open from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please use the doors under the canopy and the door opposite. The drop-off box is at the back of the church in the vestibule by the water fountain. The church is located at 1303 Boyne Avenue.

  • Shelf stable milk, including non-dairy “milk” (almond, coconut, etc.)
  • Chicken noodle soup, cream of mushroom soup, and “chunky” soups
  • Low sugar Breakfast cereals
  • Tuna fish
  • Canned chicken
  • Citrus fruit
  • Cooking oil
  • Salad dressings
  • Jams
  • Canned beans: black, kidney, or white (cannellini, navy, etc.)
  • Snacks for children: soup cups, string cheese, granola bars, fruit cups, etc.

Although it’s not a food item, we would like to give everyone a new can opener, so that’s another possibility for a donated item.
